Angela.jpgRemember Brittany & Joe's engagement session I posted at the end of October? Their wedding is in December and Brittany's brother, Kyle, is graduating this Fall. It is a busy year for the Bobrowskis! Brittany has even recently been accepted into medical school!

So when Brittany told me that her parents wanted me to photograph her brother's senior photos I was very excited. The Bobrowskis are an awesome family. I loved the excuse to work with them prior to the wedding.

So they drove the three hours it takes to get to Louisville to photograph Kyle's senior photos. And here are some shots from the day!

Angela.jpgSo I have known Andrea for a few years -- we first met when she hired me for another photosession about three years ago and then we photographed her cousin's wedding in Knoxville around the same time. So when I found out she was getting married I was so, so ecstatic that she thought of me first!

Andrea and Matt have known each other for, like, ever. They are both from Knoxville but reconnected in Louisville. I am so excited they have found each other again because they are just amazing together. Matt is so sweet (and gorgeous, hello!) and Andrea is just so wonderful, so kind (and yeah, beautiful!). They both make such a stunning couple. It was a lot of fun to photograph them. And thanks to Ana Crane-Simpson for Andrea's fabulous makeup and hair. (Andrea hardly wears any makeup naturally. She stunned us when she said that she never wore eyeshadow -- we were like 'there is a whole world out there that you need to experience!' I love, love eyeshadow!!).

They are set to marry in June in Knoxville. I know it will quite a party! I am so looking forward to it! Until then here are some of their awesome engagement photographs!!

amy1.jpgJosh is an awesome senior at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. For his senior pictures, he wanted to move away from the typical themed senior portraits for something different and do more of a photoshoot- which I agree is the best way to do senior pictures!

I really enjoy photographing senior pictures and want the photos to be a reflection of your personality and style. Email us at bliss@angela-photo.com if you are interesting in having your senior pictures with us!

So as soon as I met Jennifer I was like -- She is totally awesome -- I so want to work with her! She was talkative (I love talkative, I can be known to talk a little myself ;)), funny, excited and she had such a wonderful energy about her. Just another reason why I say that I have -- absolutely no doubt about it -- the best clients around. Sure she is gorgeous, sure she has great style (please check out that yellow jacket -- love it!!!), sure she has an awesome fiance (love Justin, he is really such a cool guy), sure she has fabulous ideas for upcoming nuptials -- and I need not stop there. They were so much fun to photograph. Thank you Jennifer for braving open-toe shoes with your dress outside while it was freezing! Thank you Justin for being an awesome sport and working it as well as any man I have ever photographed!

I simply cannot wait until September of 2009. Wish it were sooner!

Andrea Glass of the absolutely amazing Boston's Floral Exchange was kind enough to let us get warm in her shop and -- well -- I could not resist using her fabulous store elements as backdrops for photos. If you are looking for a florist this woman is remarkable. She will take what you envision as floral accents or decor and make it into elements of a fantastical experience. She is designing for my December wedding and she was showing me her ideas in the shop and I am so excited now I can barely stand it (wait until you see Brittany and Joe's winter wedding!!) I think this has set me over the top on my plan for a vow renewal party (Gary...I am so serious about this!).

jenniferjustin_eng_blog_0009.jpgI loved Jennifer's yellow coat. And she could really pull it off. This photo makes me think vintage.

amy1.jpgIf you are one of our blog followers, you may recognize Alex from her wedding and engagement session I have posted in the last couple of months. She actually did her Dreaming in the Dark session at that time but I had to wait until after the wedding since her book of photos was a surprise to her new husband. Dreaming in the Dark sessions are like a modern boudoir session. Sessions are designed for your significant other as a celebration of the beauty and art of you. Every woman is sexy and beautiful and these sessions always bring it out.

Many of our clients do a "Dreaming in the Dark" session before their wedding, but you can also just do a session for fun or for a gift to your husband. If you want something he with never forget, get a session and book for him for Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary, Valentine's - whatever! We even have a new website for our Dreaming in the Dark sessions: www.dreaminginthedark.com.

If you just want some photos and not necessarily a book, watch for blog posts for our mini-session days. This Sunday, we do have a few openings for mini-Dreaming in the Dark sessions. Email bliss@angela-photo.com if interested.

amy1.jpgOn a very cold day last weekend, I did a family portrait session with the focus on their children, Madison (3) and Noah (5). Despite the cold air, mom was able to tell stories to them for entertainment to get them laughing and dad played in the leaves.

Angela.jpgI have become amazed at the response to Glam Sessions. Where it has touched me most is how it is encouraging connection. I get emails from people telling me that they want to do a session with their mother, their sisters, they tell me about how they want to get their friends together because one of their friends was recently in an accident and they wanted to cheer her up, they want to do a glam session with their closest girlfriends, closest family.

It is making me so very happy to hear these stories. I think using a glam session to connect with people you love is amazing. I know I plan to do it with the gals in my family. I am so excited to have that time with them, to have photographs taken with them. My mother never dresses up anymore, especially since she has been taking care of her nephew so much. She needs this. Heck, we all need this! We need an excuse to get together with the women we love and celebrate!

I have had so many people tell me ideas for glam sessions: Sweet 16 Party, High School or College Graduation, Going-Away Party, Bachelorette Party, Birthday Party, Christmas gifts (I have some girlfriends who plan to ask all of their husbands for this for Christmas, this way they can all do it together and it is something awesome their husbands/boyfriends can do for them! And of course they reap the benefits by having gorgeous photos of their favorite gal), 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th etc birthdays, and the best idea of all...

no reason whatsoever.

Do it because you can!

The following photos are of Lucy's sister Ginny.

Oh! And I would be remiss if I did not officially announce the new website for Glam Sessions:
