Christie is my girl. Seriously. We bonded over our love for Vitamin Water when she first called me and set up her consultation. Justin was awesome. I could tell that he loved to see Christie happy and he knew that photography was really important to her. I loved talking to them about their plans. It doesn't hurt that their location (Spindletop Hall in Lexington) is heartbreakingly stunning (oh my god I love it there! Like a visual artist's paradise). And then add that they are both incredible people and you get a wedding that I was waiting for with baited breath. Christie came in about two months before the wedding and did her Dreaming in the Dark Session. Justin had no idea he would be receiving a gorgeous velvet pillowbook of her photos the night before the wedding but I am pretty sure he was anxious to get down that aisle and marry this gorgeous woman!

So Justin is a dentist. I am convinced that I was a dentist in another life. Mainly because so so many of my clients are either dentists or in dental school. I had no idea that dentists were so awesome. Seriously makes going to the dentist sound awesome! ;)

So, anyway...the wedding day was beautiful (hello beautiful weather!) and Ana Crane-Simpson did a wonderful job helping to express Christie's natural beauty. I mean, look at her in those photos below, she glows!

I loved, loved the children in the wedding. They were so cute. It was hard not to catch them looking adorable! The whole day was just beautiful and perfect. The kind of wedding day any girl dreams for!

Please forgive my tardiness on posting (Amy luckily kept the blog burning up with her recent work)! Charleston was oh so wonderful. But now I am back and I am having such a great time going through and editing Christie and Justin's photos! Love, love Christie! (You may recognize her from her smoking hot Dreaming in the Dark session I posted earlier.)

More soon!

Leah's dress had modern lines so we used bright jewelry and a colorful background to give her bridals a fun and whimsical edge.

For Stacy's bridals we styled her hair big and wild to emphasize the big gathers in the back of the dress. I will admit that Stacy does have some modeling experience. I just love her photos! We were in downtown Louisville for these photos.

So it rained this afternoon so our beach trip was cancelled. Disappointed, we felt the need to heal our wounds with food! So we ate at Andolini's Pizza in downtown. Then for dinner we ate at Kaminsky's, we'll we ate dessert for dinner.

We are hoping to catch some good weather tomorrow morning!

Gary and I are here in Charleston and spent part of the day downtown window shopping (hello MaxAzria shop!) and evening at Folly. Tomorrow all day at the beach! The sunset was gorgeous and I would love to share a photo or two with you!

Both taken on the beach with the iphone.

Jessica and Dustin are getting married in September in Nashville, TN at Historic Cedarwood. They live in one of the cutest neighborhood's in Cincinnati, OH where there are houses painted many different colors. We started with going to a couple parks in the area then headed downtown. The rain was off and on and you can see how some of the wet streets made the pictures even more colorful. Then we found some really neat graffiti -

Jessica and Dustin are a blast and I cannot wait for their wedding!!

For Olivia's session we went with a fairy concept. I love the spot we found in the woods- it just looks magical! Ana did her makeup with various colors and shimmers and we even had a butterfly in her hair. We used a mini-moss bouquet and wove some of the extra moss into the necklace.

Dress: Alberto Makali from Bluegrass Bride
Makeup: Ana Crane Simpson
Hair: Rodney Farmer
Moss: Boston's Floral Exchange
Necklace (sans moss): Peacock Boutique

I will be out of the studio beginning tomorrow (7/24) until the end of the month. We have a gorgeous wedding in Lake Oconee, Georgia (Hey Jamie & Joe!!). Then Gary and I are going to take a short vacay in Charleston, South Carolina. So I will be in Georgia from 7/24-7/27 and then in Charleston 7/27-7/31. If you are in the area (Charleston) and want to a portrait session, I am available for  one or two sessions while I am there.

Eric will still be in the studio placing orders and answering emails (and I will have email access). If you have an emergency please call 502-561-8111 and leave a message, someone will be right back with you.

And Amy will also be available at amy@studioaap.com

I will see you again in August (hehe...you know I am going to updating on my laptop!)

I am subscribed to this program that tells me when someone does a Google Search for me and what links they click on. It helps me keep up with what websites are linking to me and what people find when they look for me.

Even though I know "Angela Anderson" is actually a common enough name (there are tons of us out there in the US!) I am still 99% of the time what people are searching for when they enter my name into Google. Even if they don't enter "photography" if they just enter "angela anderson" my work is what they are always clicking on. Pretty cool! So...every now and then I see a link that I am unfamiliar with and usually it is another website or blog that has used my photo in some way. I always put watermarks on my blog images so they always credit me back (thank you to all who follow the rules of internet crediting and copyright!) and this is where I get those link backs from.

So I cannot even begin to recall them all. Many times they are wedding blogs showing off photos from weddings I have covered. I love it, so much fun! And I am so happy that photos I have captured have inspired others!

I cannot recall if I shared this with my blog readers or not but The Bride's Cafe did a feature on Brandi & Steve. Seriously go check out Janie's blog. She is an awesome florist in Virginia and she has this blog that is always being updated with cool real weddings that help you plan out some very cool ideas for your own wedding! (And we should be having another feature up there soon!)

So today my client, Emily, just sent me a link to another blog that has used our photo as well. The Preppy Wedding Blog has used a photo from Emily's April wedding for the amazing event design. And it was absolutely gorgeous (look at the July 15th entry, at the bottom).

And then Pictage (my awesome partner!) recently did an Inside the Image on one of my recent bridal sessions.
