Jenny and Quincy are getting married next month in Lexington. When I first met Jenny and Quincy last fall, I learned that Quincy is an engineer and Jenny is an amazing artist with her fabric design company Three Sheets 2 the Wind. When it came time for their engagement session, I knew they wanted to do something a little different. You'll see below for their second outfit they packed a picnic complete with orange soda bottles :)

We have known Melissa for years when she lived in Lexington and worked with us on weddings at the Radisson Hotel downtown. Last fall we were sad to see her move to Nashville- but then thrilled when she asked us to photograph her wedding this summer! Since Melissa and Victor now live in Nashville, I thought it would be perfect to photograph their engagements there!

In the photo above- where else can you find "Hillbilly Grill" and "Honkytonk Heaven" on the same sign??

The next two are my favorites. Nashville has the cutest street with tons of (mostly country music) bars. I just had to ask the guy at the door if we could slip in for a few pictures. There was this little circle booth by the front window that was perfect!! So Nashville

Heather and Adam are getting married in June of this year. Heather is still is student at UK and Adam graduated last year. Since they met at UK, they choose the UK campus for their engagement photographs. I am actually an Alum of UK but it has been about 10 years since I have been on campus (it doesn't feel like that long). I went Monday of this week to pick out some good spots.

Kristen and Matt's wedding is this September. For their engagement session, we decided to go to Maker's Mark Distillery and Bardstown, KY. Maker's Mark is a beautiful place and has a distinct bourbon aroma. Kristen has such a vintage look and I am excited about photographing her in her ivory vintage wedding dress!

Heather and Greg plan to have a classic Kentucky wedding this June at one of Lexington's most well known venues- Keeneland. This past weekend in Lexington I photographed their engagement session. I love how they both have dark brown eyes that bring such emotion to the photographs.

Ana Crane-Simpson did a beautiful job on Heather's makeup.

During Lauren and Bryan's engagement photos it was super windy- which became challenging at times but also produced a lot of movement in the photos. Ana Crane-Simpson did Lauren's hair makeup and she looked amazing!

Ashley and Carter are getting married late this Fall in Lexington and wanted to have some great photos in the Spring for their Save the Date cards. I have so many wonderful clients this year and excited about my 2009 weddings!

{ Kortney + Ryan Engagements: by Amy! }

It was such a pleasure to meet Kortney and Ryan for their engagement session! Kortney flew in from Alabama, Ryan from Tennessee, Kortney's mother from Arizona, and Ryan's mother is from Louisville. They had a busy week of wedding planning and meetings. Everyone wanted to be so involved in the planning and details, it really showed how much they cared about Kortney and Ryan. Their wedding is actually on New Year's Eve of this year and I am excited!

I fell in love with so many of their photos! Kortney is just breathtakingly stunning!! Ana Crane-Simpson did a wonderful job on her hair and makeup.

After all the crazy ice and snow we had recently in Kentucky, we had such perfect weather last Sunday for Casey and Mark's engagement session. Ana Crane-Simpson did a beautiful job on Casey's makeup. I look forward to their wedding in August in Lexington!

{ Tony + Markus Engagements: by Amy! }

Tony and Markus are getting married in May of next year on a cruise. Since their wedding package comes with a photographer, I was grateful that they found me to do their engagement photographs! They live in Frankfort, but wanted a little more urban look so I found a few spots in Lexington.

Tony is from Louisville and Markus is from Lexington- a little friendly rivalry
