When I first met with Anne last December, we got along so great. I told her I felt like I was talking to a good friend and she said she felt the same. Anne is someone when you talk to her she listens and she is present in the moment. She humbly mentioned that she worked as the entertainment reporter for FOX news in New York. I thought that was awesome because she got to check out the new restaurants in town or interview the stars of the new Broadway show in town. The morning after her wedding, I found the FOX 5 news website and was delighted to discover that I could see her in action with video clips. Anne has a segment called, "Anne About Town," where she goes all over New York to interview people live. Live TV is so challenging and Anne does a fantastic job! I kept browsing around and found all the clips she did about her wedding. She had a salon do her hair different ways and people
voted in this clip.
She also got advice from Sex in the City stars and Ashton Kutcher recommended a book on relationships in this
clip.

It is amazing all the stars she has interviewed! She went to London to interview the cast of the Fantastic Four last year. Monday of this week she was interviewing Donald Trump's son Don Jr. about a hotel in Dubai and today she was having breakfast with Jamie Lee Curtis about her 50th birthday. What a life she leads! I was so honored to be chosen as her wedding photographer!
Anne spent many months planning a classic Louisville Kentucky wedding with the assistance of Marcie Hancock of "
A Thorough Fare" wedding and event planning. The ceremony was at the
Historic Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville and reception was going to be on the
Belle of Louisville riverboat. As every well planned event can always have last minute changes, there was a major change of plans. Minutes before the ceremony, Anne's father stood in front of all the the excited guests and explained that because of the recent high waters, the barge for the Belle of Louisville had sank and the reception will now be upstairs at the Seelbach. The guests all clapped with support knowing they will all have such a great time no matter where they were. Anne's father waited until after the ceremony to tell Anne and Chris of the change of plans. Behind the scenes Marcie was rearranging all of the vendors. What a miraculous feat to move the band, catering, florist, linens, decorations, etc to another location in a few hours!! Wedding planners are invaluable to have.
Wayne from "
In Bloom Again" did the flowers.
Masterson's Catering did the food. They had two buffet stations. One was classic Kentucky foods with BBQ sandwiches, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese with Kentucky Mint Juleps to drink. The other buffet was more New York with pastas and meats with "The Big Apple Martinis" to drink. The photo booth was really fun too! Guests got to take their picture with crazy props and boas.
Kitty Maer of Columbus was my second photographer and assistant for this wedding.
Check out the
June 9 blog post and you can see the clip of the "Good Day NY" FOX 5 staff reactions to her beautiful photos. Below are more of my favorites-

I can remember Anne asking, "Is it okay for a bride not to have white shoes?" My answer: Absolutely!! The more colorful, the better. I love photographing great shoes. These are Kate Spades.

I loved this picture of her niece, just a doll!

Photo above is when Chris first saw Anne in her wedding dress!
