I love these next few. The lighting was amazing!

You may remember Kristian from her and her husband, Zac's, engagement session in January and their wedding from last month (post 1 and post 2.)  I cannot stress enough how much I adore them both.  Just today I received the sweetest thank you note in the mail telling me how much they've loved all of their pictures and how they cannot wait to work with me in the future.  How stinkin' sweet!!!  Needless to say when Kristian told me she wanted bridal pictures taken of course I was thrilled.  Below are some of my favorite shots from our shoot last week...  (Hair and makeup by the always astonishing Sara Drury from the Jon-Beck Salon in Lexington, Kentucky which is actually owned by Kristian's uncle.:)

I wanted to shoot some photos of Kristian down by the river and you are not going to believe what we found when we arrived at Cox's park.  It was a car-boat!  Not just a car and not just a boat, but a car-boat.  I did not know that something like that existed but it ran on land and water!  The owners of the car were so sweet and allowed us to take pictures with the car-boat.  I could not pass that opportunity up!  Below is a photo of the owner of the car taking Kristian out for a short cruise of the Ohio...

I loved that fact that the car's name was Molly Brown from "The Unsinkable Molly Brown"...

Of course I had to shoot Kristian's amazing Kate Spade's from her wedding...


Check out the propellers and engine on the back and how high up the muffler is.  How cool?!?

For Kristian's last look I took her to the locally famous Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen for a more vintage-inspired set of pics.  Notice the gorgeous birdcage veil with the feather and rhinestone accents...

For our 4th Anniversary in July, we stayed at this really cool B&B in Anna, IL called Davie School Inn. My husband Jon is from Southern IL and we discovered this gem a few years ago. It is an old school that they restored and kept the feel of an old school house- old maps, desks, chalk boards, etc. We were inspired to take photos just for fun to preserve some memories of our last anniversary of just the two of us-- If you haven't heard I am expecting and due next month. These photos were taken when I was at 30 weeks.

Whitney and Brian were married in Jackson, Kentucky last month. I had definitely been looking forward to their wedding, well ever since I met them but especially since their engagement session. See it HERE. They were so much fun as I am sure you can see in the photographs. Brian makes me laugh so hard, he is charmingly goofy, charismatic. And Whitney, well she is stunning. And her smile is absolutely incredible. She absolutely lights up a room because when she smiles she just lets it take over her entire face. I love it. I *think* they may do a Mr & Mrs session for fun since we did not get as much time on the wedding day for fun photos. I have my fingers crossed because they would be awesome to do that with!!

The ring on top in the next photograph was a beautiful gift given to Whitney by her parents on the wedding day.

A super-quick bridal portrait

It was so much fun meeting Andrea and John in Cincinnati and photographing their engagement session! You can tell they are just blissfully in love! I'm really looking forward to their wedding in October at the gorgeous Historic Cedarwood in Nashville.

Andrea's hair is by one of my favorites past brides who happens to be an awesome hair stylist at Pump Salon in Cincinnati, Jessica Flowers.

LOOOOVED the fake mustaches!!!

Kristian and Zac got a lot of their cute, vintage touches at their reception from etsy (which I totally dig), including this banner for their candy bar...

All of their centerpieces were different but I especially liked this cool, rustic set-up with the flowers, wood, and old medicine bottles...

Kristian and Zac had a "Wedding Tree" where you left your thumb print instead of your name.  Super-cool...

Kristian and Zac's cake was from the revered Caramanda's Bake Shoppe in Lexington, Kentucky...

I simply adore Kristian and Zac!  I had such an amazing time at their wedding in late July because it felt so personal and all of their family and friends were so nice and welcoming.  Kristian and Zac got married at Kristian's late grandmother's church in Nicholasville, Kentucky.  Her and her Nana were very close and it was very important to Kristian to have many touches of her grandmother everywhere on their big day such as the lace and brooch from her bouquet and even wearing her Nana's engagement ring.  Kristian and Zac had a lot of little vintage touches throughout their wedding and reception but one of the most prominent symbols I found that day was of two birds together so I thought that this ring shot below would be appropriate...  (Kristian's hair by Ana Crane-Simpson and makeup by Sara Drury)

Kristian got ready at her aunt and uncle's home who own the Jon-Beck Salon in Lexington, Kentucky.  Wow, I did not have to look far to photograph interesting details shots...

Kristian and Zac did not want to see each other before the ceremony but wanted a couple of quick shots taken between a door before Zac went to take his spot at the head of the church to wait for his beautiful bride...
