Elizabeth and Adam were married right in the middle of the 2009 Winter Storm! I had actually been without power for 4 or so days when the wedding came around. Luckily the photo-studio had power and I was charged and ready to go. I was quite excited about the wedding. Winter weddings are not as common in Kentucky (probably because things like Winter Storm 2009 happen!) so it is a nice return to one of the things I love best. I was also excited because Elizabeth is one of the very sweetest people I have ever met. She keeps a smile on her face all the time. Any other bride, perhaps they would have seriously stressed, not Elizabeth. She is amazing. And her guests were pretty amazing as well because pretty much every single person who RSVP'ed came to the wedding -- totally ignoring the craziness of the weather. And I am not surprised because both Elizabeth's and Adam's families are incredible. They are so sweet and kind and a lot of fun to be around! I love love Scott, Elizabeth's mom!
And of course it did not hurt that the party was absolutely wonderful.
I believe that the beauty of the evening and the fact that, in spite of a dangerously beautiful winter wonderland, everything went absolutely flawlessly was due to the talent of their wedding planner, Ellen Fox of Sha Fox Events. This wedding was many a first for me. First wedding at the Cathedral of the Assumption, which is gorgeous! My first wedding at the Brown Hotel and my first wedding with Ellen!
What a great first it was!

Yes, I like shoes! Elizabeth had two cute pairs. So watch out for another pair coming up...
What an incredible dress. The detail was remarkable. And Elizabeth looked stunning in it!

I love the photo above. It is Elizabeth and Adam's mother together. Aren't they just so cute!?
I overheard that Elizabeth's grandmother worked on this amazing door.
