Leah & Simeon: Engagements

Leah is a wedding photographer herself so when she called me up (or better, "Facebooked me") and said she wanted me to photograph her engagement session I was super-excited. Unfortunately I was already booked for her wedding date this October (Regan & Michael) and so was Amy but she is going to use the California-based photographer, "Becker" I believe. They will be married in Lincoln Nebraska because they are from there but since Simeon is in the military they are moving quite a bit. They have been in Louisville for a number of months and their next adventure  looks like it might be NY.

The session was a lot of fun. I encouraged Leah to go to the best accessories store on the cheap, Forever 21, to get some fun things to play with (and she got a purple cowgirl hat!). I love Forever 21 because the jewelry is really really inexpensive so you can have fun with it even if you never plan to wear it out (surprise: whether an accessory may look "cheap" or not it typically does not photograph that way. ;))

Leah is my first shoot in the new space! So you will get a sneak peek at our incredible gold and white wallpaper! Isn't it gorgeous!! We love it!

We popped open some champagne in order to become more relaxed! ;)
